What to Know Before You Go

Trail Difficulty & Distance

Beavers Bend features a mix of easy, modern, and more challenging trails. Some paths are perfect for a leisurely stroll, while others include rocky terrain and elevation changes. Choosing the right trail depends on how much time you have, the experience you want, and the physical abilities of the people hiking with you.

Weather & Seasonal Conditions

Temperatures can vary throughout the year, with summer heat and humidity. If you aren't from the area, you can underestimate how hot it really is hiking among a forest of pine trees in the summer. Spring & fall are ideal for hiking but monitor the forecast for rain due to trail closures due to flooding.

Wildlife & Safety

Wildlife sightings are common, including deer, birds, bears, and occasionally snakes. Staying on marked trails & being aware of your surroundings help ensure a safe & enjoyable hike.
